Dr Lalor regrets to announce his retirement from Gastroenterology practice as of July 31st, 2026.
Dear patients:
I am very fortunate in finding Dr. Ahsan Malik to take over my practice. Dr. Malik received his medical degree in Pakistan and then completed basic and specialty Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Training in Wales, UK. He has British and Canadian specialist qualifications, including Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, in Gastroenterology, and also has Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). He worked as a consultant gastroenterologist in the UK from 2016 till 2024, and then as a locum gastroenterologist at RVH, Barrie, in 2024 and 2025, and as a gastroenterologist at Innisfil Endoscopy Clinic up to the present time.
It is very gratifying to have found such a caring and competent doctor to take my place. Dr. Malik will begin the transition on June 1st, 2026, out of the Barrie GI Associates office, and he will have full access there to your records. Your GI medical records will automatically remain with Dr. Malik.
I recognize that changing physicians may be stressful. We will schedule extra time for him to meet you. If you have a followup appointment with us, before July 31st, we will let you know where to go for that appointment.
